I believe deeply in the power of human connection, healing, and growth. My approach is eclectic — I draw from a range of evidence-based models — but at the center of it all is the belief that every person carries strengths and a purpose worth honoring.
In our work together, I focus on staying present, leaning into radical acceptance, and creating a space where every story is valued and heard. I am trained in trauma informed approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. I specialize in treating chronic trauma, complex PTSD, and substance use disorders. Additionally, I work with a wide range of mental health concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and pain management. Guided by Carl Rogers’ humanistic approach, I aim to meet each person with compassion, authenticity, and respect.
I am actively connected with the recovery community in Grand Rapids, serving with the Kent County Opioid Task Force and the Grand Rapids Red Project. Harm reduction saves lives. My commitment is to offer a trauma-informed and inclusive space where all identities, genders, and orientations are welcomed and respected.
